CEO is Top 100 Influencer
The Algorithm People’s CEO has been named as one of the most influential people in the low carbon fleet industry.
The GreenFleet 100 Most Influential is GreenFleet magazine’s list of people who have shaped the zero and low-carbon fleet industry over the year. Colin Ferguson, co-founder and CEO of The Algorithm People, is in the top 100. It is the third year in a row that Colin has been included in the list.
“I am delighted to be named in this list among so many leaders in the drive to reduce emissions from fleets,” said Colin. “There is a huge amount of passion, talent and energy in the top 100, which also demonstrates the great strides we are taking to cut carbon and also reduce costs for fleet operators.”
Based in Newcastle upon Tyne, the Algorithm People provides route optimisation software to commercial vehicle operators. The algorithms within its platform provide highly efficient routes and schedules, delivering savings of up to 20% on total fleet mileage compared with manual planning.
The company is also an expert in electric vehicle optimisation, helping fleets to identify which vehicles and routes are best suited to electrification. Once the EVs are deployed, the optimisation software ensures that fleets get the best environmental and financial return on investment from them.
In 2020, The Algorithm People is also launching My Transport Planner, the UK’s first pay-as-you-go route optimisation platform.
